Watch, dance, skate and learn from our international guests, local professionals and skaters from across North America, in Calgary one weekend only! This weekend features a Friday night skate, Saturday night spectacular Gala Showcase featuring our international stars, an amateur showcase, Sunday After Party and roller dance workshops.

Special Guests include Diamond walker from Tampa Bay, FL, Tanya Dean (Skaterobics) from New York and Canadian artists: Danielle Senecal (Montreal), Cherri Blaster (Lethbridge), Keegan Shim (Toronto) and more to come.

On June 16 – 18, Calgary will experience a festival that brings magic on wheels for a weekend of workshops, performances, great music and skating at the amazing JVCenter with 15,000 sq. ft. of beautiful hardwood to get your roll on.

Kathleen Janzen and Theresa Tucci

Together Kathleen and Theresa are the faces behind Calgary Roller Skate – Calgary’s go-to-place for all things roller skate.

Kathleen, also known by her derby name “Roxy Acetylene” is the owner of Calgary’s local skate shop Nerd Roller Skates and was a founding member of Calgary Roller Derby. She now combines her love of skate through teaching and spreading skate love through Calgary’s first roller skate school – Calgary Roller Skate.

Theresa is the owner of Free Spirit Dance, Calgary’s most unique dance studio just for adults. She has been roller skating since she was two, trained as a dancer across the world and now combines her love of dance with skating at Calgary Roller Skate.
